Seasons of isolation with God doesn't mean that you hide away in a cave removed from human interactions and contact. It isn’t an excuse to neglect responsibilities or obligations in life. Isolation with God is a calling or conviction to detach from a majority (if not all) of worldly distractions like tv and movies, music and social media. You may be lead to refrain from drinking or even sex. If you feel like God wants celibacy during your isolation season, have the conversation with your partner first and agree with each other before making a decision.

This is a time where God is longing for intimacy with you so it's important to make God the highest priority in your life, more than you normally would. You have the prompting from God to go into isolation so trust that he's already equipped you for the journey. Things you can do in isolation with God.

1. Instead of watching hours of regular tv binge watching shows or watching movies try watching faith based tv like Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) or DayStar. All that positivity for hours will have you wrapped in God's presence.

☆Most of these channels can be streamed on any device so they're easily accessible.

2. Instead of listening to secular music all the time start listening to gospel music more often than not.

3. If you feel the urge to log onto social media, try following your favorite pastors and preachers or faith based motivational speakers and coaches.

☆They're living life just like you and I'm sure they post content that you can relate to and find entertaining.

4. Read your bible. Need I say more?

☆If you don't know where you should read, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to the word that God wants to use to speak to you. Then open your bible anywhere and just start reading. HAVE FAITH because he will guide you exactly where you need to go.

5. Journal. You should be journaling in your isolation season. Writing is a visual way to account for any breakthroughs or revelations God gives you. If you don't know where to start, try this.

☆Take scripture you read that resonated with you the most and write about what your interpretation of that scripture was. You should develop a flow of writing your thoughts and insights that scripture provided. If you really wanna get deep, ask yourself open ended questions about how you can implement what you learned into your life in a practical way.

Ex: What did Matthew 6:14-15 teach me about forgiving others in my life today?

What actions can I take to forgive someone today?

☆From there you should be able to develop a journaling style that's authentic to you and your season.

I'm sure there are a lot more things you can do while in an isolation season with God but these are some of the things that I did in my isolation season with God. My journey was challenging and hard but rewarding because it lead me to be here with you.

Understand your isolation season with God is not punishment, you did nothing wrong. You are in isolation with God right now because you are being promoted. God is taking this time to grow you and mature you. He wants you to experience his presence like you never have before. Isolation seasons with God confirms your anointing and it confirms that you are chosen. Congratulations.

Be strong, keep your faith, trust the process, and keep going because you are anointed for this. Enjoy everything God has in store for you because once you come out your LIFE will never be the same and YOU will never be the same.

God bless you and keep you and may he give you Shalom.

With Love,

Coach Dani
